MSF positions fluconazole and its indications
MSF classifies fluconazole as a systemic antifungal mainly active against Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans, listing use in oesophageal candidiasis, moderate to severe oropharyngeal candidiasis, secondary prophylaxis of recurrent candidiasis in immunocompromised patients, cryptococcal meningitis and secondary prophylaxis of cryptococcal infection.
