Product Description
Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole derivative with excellent activity against anaerobic bacteria and pathogenic protozoa. It inhibits microbial DNA synthesis and replication, leading to bactericidal and antiprotozoal effects. Injectable form offers fast absorption, wide tissue distribution, stable efficacy for anaerobic infections and trichomoniasis, amebiasis.
Indications
- Anaerobic bacterial infections: abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, dental, skin & soft tissue
- Amebiasis: intestinal and extraintestinal amoebic disease
- Trichomoniasis infection
- Postoperative infection prevention caused by anaerobes
- Septicemia related to anaerobic pathogens
Administration
Intramuscular injection, or slow intravenous injection/infusion. Dosage adjusted by age, weight and infection severity; strictly follow medical prescription.

Storage

Warnings
- Prescription only injectable drug.
- Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to metronidazole or nitroimidazoles.
- Avoid alcohol during medication and within 72 hours after stopping.
- Use cautiously in liver impairment, neurological diseases, pregnancy and lactation.
- Keep out of reach of children.
