Product Description
Empagliflozin belongs to the sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor class. It works by blocking glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, allowing excess blood glucose to be excreted through urine, lowering blood sugar independent of insulin action.
It also helps reduce body weight, blood pressure, and provides proven cardiovascular and renal protection for type 2 diabetic patients.
Indications
Adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Also indicated for heart failure and chronic kidney disease in suitable patients.
Directions for Use
Oral administration, swallow whole with water.
Take once daily, preferably in the morning, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Follow doctor’s prescription strictly, do not adjust dose by yourself.
