Product Description
Phentolamine is a non-selective α-adrenergic receptor antagonist. It dilates peripheral blood vessels, reduces peripheral vascular resistance, lowers blood pressure, improves microcirculation and relieves vascular spasm. It also has moderate cardiotonic effect, widely used in emergency, cardiology and peripheral vascular disease treatment.
Indications
- Hypertensive crisis, especially caused by pheochromocytoma
- Prevention and treatment of norepinephrine extravasation vasospasm
- Peripheral vascular diseases: Raynaud’s disease, intermittent claudication
- Acute heart failure and pulmonary edema
- Diagnostic test for pheochromocytoma
Administration
For intramuscular injection, slow intravenous injection or intravenous infusion. Must be used under close blood pressure and heart rate monitoring in hospital.

Warnings
