Product Description
Iron Sucrose is a complex of iron hydroxide with sucrose, a non-ionic stable intravenous iron formulation. It releases iron slowly and uniformly, replenishes body iron stores, promotes hemoglobin synthesis, and corrects iron deficiency anemia rapidly. Low allergic reaction risk, well tolerated, no gastrointestinal side effects compared with oral iron.
Indications
- Iron deficiency anemia unable to tolerate oral iron
- Poor absorption of oral iron (gastritis, post-gastrointestinal surgery)
- Anemia in pregnancy, chronic kidney disease, dialysis patients
- Postoperative and chronic disease related iron deficiency anemia
- Rapid iron repletion before surgery with expected blood loss
Administration
For intravenous slow injection or intravenous drip infusion. Do not administer intramuscularly. Dilute with suitable isotonic solution before infusion; strictly control infusion speed. Dosage calculated based on hemoglobin level and iron deficiency degree under doctor supervision.
