Artesunate is a semi-synthetic artemisinin derivative with rapid schizonticidal activity against the erythrocytic stage of malaria parasites. It quickly reduces fever, clears malarial parasites, features fast onset, low toxicity and low drug resistance rate. Oral suspension has good palatability, easy dosing, especially suitable for children, infants and patients unable to take solid tablets.
Indications
- Treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria
- Malaria infection in adults, children and infants
- Routine oral antimalarial therapy in malaria endemic areas
Administration
Shake the bottle well before each use. Take orally directly; dosage based on body weight and age, follow doctor instruction or WHO standard malaria treatment protocol.
