Description
A clear, sterile, isotonic intravenous infusion containing electrolytes and lactate, formulated to closely resemble plasma electrolyte composition. Used for replenishing extracellular fluid, correcting dehydration and restoring electrolyte balance.
Indications
For fluid and electrolyte replacement in dehydration, hypovolemia, surgical irrigation, burn resuscitation, and metabolic acidosis.
Storage
Store at room temperature, protected from light. Do not freeze. Discard if cloudy, leaking or contaminated. Keep out of reach of children.
Warning
Prescription parenteral solution for intravenous infusion only.
Contraindicated in severe heart failure, renal failure, hyperkalemia, hypercalcemia, and hypersensitivity to any component.
Use with caution in patients with liver dysfunction, hypertension, or edema. Administer under medical supervision.
