Product Overview
This product is an oral antimalarial combination tablet containing Sulfadoxine/Pyrimethamine 175mg and Dihydroartemisinin 60mg per tablet. It combines two classes of antimalarial agents: (a) a long-acting sulfonamide antifolate combination (sulfadoxine/pyrimethamine), and (b) a short-acting artemisinin derivative (dihydroartemisinin). The combination of short-acting and long-acting antimalarial agents is designed to provide rapid parasite clearance while also reducing the risk of parasite resistance development. The product is formulated as film-coated tablets for convenient oral administration.
